c.1967 Avengerswear Dress

Super rare piece from the Avengerswear collection, which was sold alongside the television series. This piece was designed by Alun Hughes for the colour Emma Peel season and appeared as a dark green mini skirted version in the episode Return of the Cybernauts. This dress is a maxi in a purple moire velvet.

c.1965 Foale & Tuffin Dress

Jigsaw panelled dress by Foale & Tuffin which was part of the Youthquake invasion of the USA by Foale & Tuffin and Mary Quant in 1965. This particular dress was modelled by Jenny Boyd, sister of Pattie.

c.1965 Gerald McCann Dress

Rare mid-1960s mini dress by Gerald McCann with a dotted cotton bodice, checked wool skirt and white peter pan collar. This piece was exhibited at the V&A's Sixties Fashion exhibition.

c.1966 Twiggy Boutique Dress

Stunning check cotton micro mini dress from Twiggy's short-lived boutique label. This dress would appear to have been one of the star pieces as it was chosen for her to model in the publicity drive at the launch of the label. Mine has had the sleeves removed at some point.

c.1971 Crowthers Dress

Moss crepe overdress by the Crowthers Boutique. Worn by Doctor Who companion Katy Manning (Jo Grant) in publicity shots in the early Seventies.

c.1972 Bill Gibb Dress

Absolutely incredible Bill Gibb black wool crepe maxi dress. A tight, plunging keyhole neckline contrasts with the voluminous skirt and billowing puffed and gathered sleeves. The image from Vogue shows a cream version in his catwalk show from 1972.

c.1967 Pussy Galore Dress

A lovely example of the typical late Sixties machine lace 'tablecloth' style mini dresses by Carnaby Street Boutique, Pussy Galore. This dress was recently on loan to the V&A's Swinging Sixties exhibition.

c.1972 Jean Muir Dress

One of the loveliest Jean Muirs I've ever come across. Crafted in a tomato red rayon jersey and topstiched in green, the puffed sleeves and beautifully shaped and gathered bust are Muir at her very best.

c.1969 Biba Dress

An adorable rare early Biba mini dress in a crisp white broderie anglaise cotton. The typical high, tight armholes are there, as are the quintessential Biba puffed sleeves. A very good example of the 'dolly' look of which they were so fond!
